6 Alpha have successfully assessed and managed UXO as well as wider risks (e.g. ameliorating the risk of terrorist attack) associated with a variety of up-stream oil and gas projects. 

We have been engaged directly and indirectly by oil and gas majors in Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Algeria.

Our risk practice delivers consultancy solutions as well as end-to-end Project Management services. We can therefore, not only assess a range of unconventional project risks, but also Project Manage their implementation.

 

Holistic Services

We have developed a five-stage process for the management of UXO risks for the Oil and Gas industry which include:

•  Desk top UXO Threat and Risk Assessment
•  Strategy for the management of UXO risks
•  If required, design appropriate geophysical survey solutions (on land and off–shore)
   for the identification and avoidance of UXO
•  Geophysical survey contractor selection and tendering support services
•  Geotechnical investigation selection and tendering support services (which might be
   bundled with the geophysical survey work)
•  Offshore Client Representation and QA and QC services
•  Data modeling services for the identification of UXO
•  GIS and Data Management services
•  Bespoke GIS, Safety Sign-off Certification for the avoidance of UXO
•  Overarching sign-off to warrant that risks have been reduced to As Low As Reasonable
   Practicable (ALARP) for both geotechnical investigation and platform or pipeline
   installation contractors
