A Major International TV News Channel - Case study
Client: A Major International TV News Channel
Project On behalf of our client, 6 Alpha was contracted to produce Corporate Security Standards and Crisis Management Plans for a Major International News Channel.
Risks/Problem The client was routinely exposing their people to security risks internationally and was concerned that their existing approach did not represent “best practice”. They aspired to have a holistic framework to managing security and crisis risks, with a congruent approach.
Our Solution We engaged at all levels with the organization and conducted an initial gap analysis of their already very robust procedures. This included visiting teams operating in hostile environments to determine the realities of the security risks and the practical problems of the business – we put the needs of the business first. Subsequently we produced a hierarchy of processes at the strategic and operational levels to deliver a robust and auditable approach to managing security risks. This involved the production of a corporate policy, and operational plans, it also included the production of a robust Crisis Management Plan.
Benefits The client has experienced 3 key benefits:
• Improved security for its people, assets and shareholder value through the use of the new systems. • Robust corporate governance of security risk in an auditable manner. • The ability to demonstrate “best practice” to insurance underwriters.
