    Description

    Offshore UXO Survey Project Manager to join a market leader in Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Risk Management and Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD). Reporting directly to the Managing Director in his general management role, the Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of projects. The prime responsibility is to ensure both an effective and efficient execution of the agreed work in such a way that the QHSE, technical, commercial and contractual requirements are met. You will be managing offshore project teams deployed on survey vessels and onshore processing teams deployed in the Head Office. The role will be based at 6 Alpha’s Woolpit Business Park offices, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

    Responsibilities

    • To plan, organise, control, co-ordinate, lead, motivate, delegate and communicate to achieve optimal balance between cost, time, quality, benefit and risk in marine geophysical projects;
    • To support the development of a positive safety culture;
    • Geophysical survey design, planning and execution ;
    • To develop project documentation including project execution plans;
    • To monitor project budgets, schedules and performance against KPI’s;
    • To supervise project teams;
    • To communicate with clients, internal partners, and sub-contractors;
    • To support the tendering process;

    Qualifications

    We are looking for candidates who are excellent, reliable and efficient. We require first class communicators that adopt a proactive and systematic approach with a competitive attitude.
    • M.Sc. or B.Sc. level in an industry associated discipline – Earth Sciences, Geophysics, or similar;
    • Significant demonstrable experience in project management (5 to 10 yrs);
    • Marine experience is highly preferable;
    • Geophysical/Hydrography experience is highly preferable;
    • Excellent knowledge of the English language (verbal and written);
    • The work will involve business travel.

    Due to our clients growth, we are currently recruiting for a self motivated and highly organised Sales Support Administrator to join a highly successful company based in Woolpit. You will be supporting the Director of Business Development from identifying leads up to the point of contract signature. The role may routinely act as the first point of contact for potential Clients and the initial coordinating point with the Director of Business Development, ensuring that all required weekly and monthly data, is recorded and provided in a timely manner to the appropriate appointments.

    Responsibilities

    Respond to potential Client requests received via email or telephone or on the direction from the management chain. Prepare ‘first draft’ technical and commercial sales proposals. Populate the ‘Opportunity Tracker’ with data and details and provide analytics of company sales performance and output to the Weekly Activity Statement keeping it current and accurate. Monitor EU and other tender bulletin notice boards and identify suitable opportunities for the company to exploit. Timely follow up with Clients on outstanding enquiries, recording appropriate data and details into the opportunity tracker. Populate the Client Relationship Management (CRM) data base with appropriate detail and data ensuring that this is kept current. Implement and complete relevant documentation on won opportunities for handover to the Operations department for delivery of the project. Undertake research on new and existing markets, identifying relevant projects, competitors, and relevant activities. Prepare for and attend exhibitions. Daily log on to Lead Forensics home page and produce weekly reports on activity, hot spots and emerging trends. Weekly analysis of google analytics and provide guidance to 6 Alpha management on eg views per click, website hits (market analysis by segment) as well as identifying emerging trends;

    Qualifications

    Suitable secondary qualifications preferably in literacy and numeracy-based subjects
    Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant subject
    Previous experience in sales and commercial activities is essential
    Good analytical skills
    Capacity to operate Windows and MAC software
    To produce sales spread sheets and graphical representations utilising Excel, Word, PowerPoint software
    The ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced commercial environment
    Demonstrate confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders/clients respectively
    Team player
    Have excellent organisational abilities

    6 Alpha Associates is a 15-year-old company and is recognised as a market leader in Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Risk Management and Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD). The business is currently seeking a Reporting Services Manager (RSM) to lead both onshore and offshore reporting teams. Most projects are delivered across N.W. Europe with occasional projects in Asia. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Reporting Services Manager (RSM) will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of all products (reports and technical documents) issued by the company. The prime RSM responsibility is to ensure the all products issued by the company are of consistent quality, uniform branding and met the technical and contractual requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all reporting teams and co- ordinating with the geophysics and operational departments to ensure the product deliverables are issued in a timely manner. The role will be based at 6 Alpha’s Woolpit Business Park offices, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

    Responsibilities

    • To supervise all reporting and GIS teams;
    • To communicate and to coordinate product delivery with and between clients, internal partners, and sub-contractors;

    Qualifications

    We are looking for candidates who are excellent, reliable, efficient and have an eagle eye for detail. We require first class communicators that adopt a proactive and systematic approach with a competitive attitude.

    • Significant demonstrable experience in Report management (5 to 10 yrs.);
    • Experience with ArcGIS, MS office and Mac software;
