6 Alpha Associates has offered industry leading UXO risk management services since 2004, in both the land and offshore environments. Our services are not only compliant with recognised industry best-practice but are also differentiated by delivering acknowledged client benefits including: the accurate, timely and professional assessment of risk together with the delivery of appropriate, cost effective risk management solutions, taking into account clients’ schedule and other constraints.
6 Alpha was selected in 2007 by the UK’s Construction Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA and see www.ciria.org) to co-author the UK’s first Health and Safety Executive endorsed publication concerning the management of UXO risks on land (CIRIA C681, first published in 2009). Following a competitive and rigorous selection process to write an equivalent guide for UXO risk assessment offshore, CIRIA again selected 6 Alpha as the lead technical co-author for this guide, which was published in February 2016.
Underpinning our risk assessment process is our proprietary UXO relational database ‘Azimuth™’ which consists of digitised, high-resolution, geo-referenced UXO threat data. It is our employment of this unparalleled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database, which as an industry first initiative, distinguishes us from our competitors and enables us to deliver directly, timely and accurate threat data and mapping.
Our experienced and professional staff employ our advanced UXO database to provide our clients with the best possible solutions, which not only manage risk in accordance with the law and best practice but also save both time and money. Feel free to read our case studies (case studies as a click).
